Jalapeño-Thyme Infused Tequila

Ingredients

1/4 c fresh thyme (packed)

1 medium jalapeño, sliced into wheels

1 quart tequila


Instructions

  1. Place fresh thyme and jalapeño slices in a quart-sized mason jar and add tequila, filling to the top.
  2. Cover and shake. Allow to infuse for 12 hours (up to 24 depending on your taste preferences), shaking the jar periodically. Note that 24 hours will result and a very spicy tequila, so err on the lower side if you prefer less heat!
  3. Using a mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain out plant material and discard/compost spent herbs.
