1bay leaf, ground

1celery salt

1 T paprika (we love to use smoked paprika)

11/2 tsp high-mineral salt

11/2 tsp black pepper, ground

1 tsp white pepper, ground

1 tsp ground mustard

1/2 tsp cayenne

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1/8 tsp ground cloves

1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

1/8 tsp mace, ground (can sub nutmeg)


  1. Combine all ingredients into a half-pint sized mason jar.
  2. Cover and shake until spice colors blend.
  3. Store with an air-tight lid in a climate-controlled location.


Makes approximately 1/3 cup of seasoning mix. Double recipe to fill a 1 cup mason jar.

Mix should keep at least six months when stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
