This is my working materia medica — a living collection of notes gathered over years of study, experimentation and herbal deep-dives.

Originally created as a reference for myself, this compendium reflects what I’ve learned (so far) about the plants I work with most often in my home apothecary. It’s part field notes, part research and part intuition — informed by tradition, science and lived experience.

Each profile offers a snapshot of a plant’s qualities, actions, energetics, preparations and uses — with a few side notes and rabbit holes sprinkled in for good measure. These are the entries I reach for when formulating, teaching, troubleshooting or just reacquainting myself with a plant I haven’t worked with in a while.
